A mind best enhances when it is backed by a healthy body. The students are offered a wide range of sports activities that are whole heartedly cherished by the students. The sports activity also teaches students the importance of team work and respect towards their fellow competitors inculcating strong sportsman spirit. Games like cricket, football, volleyball, hockey, kho-kho and kabaddi are being played at our institute wherein students participate with strong & healthy sportsman spirit. This year we organized Venus Sports Celebration graced and honoured by our chief guest Dr. M. N. Patel, Vice Chancellor, Gujarat University. Also the occasion was graced by our guests of honour, Dr. G. P. Vadodariya, Registrar, GTU, Shri J. C. Lilani, Deputy Registrar of Exam, Dr. C. S. Sanghvi, Member Secretary, Board of Sports, GTU and Dr. M. G. Patel, Co-ordinator Board of Sports, GTU. The meet was opened by Dr. M. N. Patel. The sports meet had events like athletics, shot put, long jump, high jump, 100 meters running and gymnastics that saw an over-whelming response from students who enthusiastically participated and enjoyed.


Venus International College of Technology, Gandhinagar had conducted Traffic Control & Awareness on 20th September 2013, Friday. 50 students and 10 faculties from the departments of mechanical, electrical, electronics & communication, civil and computer had participated in this event. They went to various cross roads on C.G road, Ahmedabad and helped the traffic police in controlling the traffic and spreading awareness about traffic rules amongst people. They did this work from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Some citizens didn’t have proper knowledge about traffic rules so the students gave information about traffic rules to them. Some people did not follow the signal lights leading to traffic jam situations. Students undertook this responsibility and supported the traffic police in easing such traffic woes.

Thalassemia Awareness & Testing Program

On 2nd Aug, 2013, our institute organized a “THALASSEMIA AWARENESS & TESTING PROGRAM” wherein more than 350 students participated by donating blood .The event concluded with collection of good amount of blood. Our efforts were appreciated by Red Cross society by issuing “Certificate of Appreciation” to our institute. Our institute also received a trophy from GTU for effective implementation of Thalassemia Awareness & Testing Program.



To explore the proficiency and dexterity of technical students, and to present them an extensive platform, Gujarat Technological University for the very first time organized an inter-collegiate technical festival & to our delight and pride, our institute “Venus International College of Technology” (VICT) was invited to host this event for Gandhinagar Zone. Our esteemed Chief Guest Dr. Akshai Aggarwal, the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Technological University inaugurated the Event. Dr. Yogesh Dave, the Co-Chairman of Chhatral Shankul of Gujarat Technological University also graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. From over 82 reputed colleges of Gandhinagar zone, more than 990 students showcased their talent and flair in 24 various technical and non- technical events. The Tech Fest had events like robotics, cad designing ,robo-war, robo-race, robo-hurdle, bridge making, robo-football in addition with competitions like treasure hunt, youth parliament, ad-mad show, quiz, team building, poster presentation , product launch, real ads, paper presentation, poster presentation , roadies, counter strike, treasure hunt, gully cricket, photography. The valedictory ceremony, wherein our chief guest Shri Mahendra Sinhji Rana (Mayor, Gandhinagar) and our Guests of Honour Dr. K.C.Raval (Director, University of School of Law, GU), Dr. Yogesh Dave (Co-chairman, Chhatral Shankul-GTU), Shri Arvind Patel (Secretary, GIDC Industrial Association – Chhatral), Shri Ramesh Patel (GIDC Industrial Association – Chhatral) graced the occasion with their presence. It was a memorable meeting of great minds on a common platform providing an opportunity to academia and industry to amalgamate with each other and the entire event left an indelible ecstatic impression on the minds of the audience.
